Maryland Export Day Background
The Maryland/Washington D.C. District Export Council’s (MD/D.C. DEC) 30 members include small and medium sized exporters and export service providers appointed by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce to promote exports, counsel small businesses, and support export programs of the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service. In 2021, the MD/D.C. DEC received a proclamation from former Governor Larry Hogan, designating May 25th as “Maryland Export Day” to highlight the importance of exporting and its contribution to the Maryland economy.
